Sporting background:

Why I do triathlon:
I did my first triathlon in 2004 as a way to break up the monotony of training for a marathon. I did the marathon and decided triathlon was the way to go. I started doing it as a good way to stay in shape and it got me back in the water after several years of not swimming after I graduated from Michigan. I became more competitive with each triathlon I completed and wanted to take to it to the next level. With each passing year I have made more progress and more importantly I am having fun. I love going to triathlons and seeing other triathletes challenging themselves and having a good time doing it.

Triathlon Accomplishments:
2nd Place Overall Female, Escape from Alcatraz 2009. 10th Place Professional Steelhead 70.3 2009. 8th Place Professional Chicago Triathlon 2009. 7th Place Professional Escape From Alcatraz 2010. 3rd Place Professional Honu 70.3 2010. 11th Place Professional Vineman 70.3 2010. 11th Place Professional Lake Stevens 70.3 2010. 5th Place Professional Pacific Grove Olympic Distance 2010.

Triathlon Goals:
To get faster on the bike and keep having fun. I love training. I missed it for several years after my swimming career ended and I am so excited to find something that I love to do. I am lucky to be living in Napa, CA after moving from Chicago in March 2010. I love the hills and the weather!
