Since 1985 (on and off)Sporting background: Team sports, swimming, track, long distance running…
Why I do triathlon:
I saw the Hawaii Ironman on the Wide World of Sports in 1982 where Julie Moss was struggling at the end of the race – I had goose bumps just watching her pain and fortitude. I thought to myself this is incredible, I’ve got to do this some day. In 1985 a friend of mine convinced me to train and register for a local race, where I came in 5th overall. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Triathlon Accomplishments: My first race was the Sprint Tune-up Triathlon in 1985, there have been too may races since then to mention.
Triathlon Goals: My main goal is to race in Kona since the early 80’s and I’ve always wanted to race at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Fran. Hopefully next year!
Additional Comments: I’ve had several coaches over the years, Clint is the only one to take the necessary time to analyse what will be required to get me injury free to Ironman Canada again(2011) and then to Kona. I’ve been working with Clint for just over a year now and feel stronger that I did at IMC 2009. Thanks Coach!
